As emphasized by Editor-in-Chief Russ Marion in the journal's <a href="https://cefjournal.com/index.php/pub/issue/view/1/1">inaugural issue</a>;</p> <p><em>"This journal, then, asks how cultural trends are influencing education and the future of education, for the good or the bad. We seek substantive, well-conceived and researched discussions of the nexuses between culture, education, and the future. Can we predict likely outcomes. We can predict some of what we will deal with in the near future due to AI. But long term or currently unanticipated futures are merely speculative; one cannot predict without some evidence. We are not, like politicians who promise doom and gloom if policies they don’t like are adopted; rather we do want to explore culture, education, and the future thoughtfully and intelligently. Our vision is to formulate credible information for school personnel that will allow them to act changes early in the emergence dynamic."</em></p> <p>The journal is valuable for teachers, counselors, supervisors, education administrators, educational policymakers, curriculum theorists and developers, and interdisciplinary education researchers.</p> <p>The CEF journal welcomes research that uses any research method, including reviews, mixed methods studies, quantitative and qualitative research, and innovative research methods.</p> <p>The journal's scope includes culture-centered educational studies that can directly or indirectly impact education stakeholders, decision-makers, and practitioners. At CEF, researchers from all types of educational institutions, including K–12 schools, colleges, and universities, adult education centers, non-governmental education groups, as well as those working on social, family, and community projects, are encouraged to submit their articles that address current and critical issues in the field. AAIDES was established to support a worldwide field of interdisciplinary education studies. Our hope in establishing this organization is to provide support for scholarly conversations within and across national and regional borders about the content, context, and process of education, the organizational and intellectual center of which is interdisciplinary.</p> <p><br />Assistant/Associate Editor/s will have the opportunity to work in close collaboration with the <a href="https://cefjournal.com/index.php/pub/about/editorialTeam">CEF Editorial Team</a>. Assistant/Associate Editors will share responsibility with the other editors for manuscripts submitted. The Editors will also be an integral part of the editorial team, involved in shaping the overall intellectual direction of the journal and encouraging submissions nationally and internationally.</p> <p><br />The Editors may also be involved in organizing special issues and/or mini-special issues. The Editors will be actively encouraging authors to submit manuscripts to the journal; consulting with, as well as recommending international editorial board members; and promoting the journal widely within the scholarly community as well as within educational communities.</p> <p><br />The journal is looking for applicants willing to commit to at least a three-year editorship. The individuals should be fully proficient in the English language (spoken; read; written).
